Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 5, 2026
At AUDIORECORDER.ORG, privacy is not an afterthought—it is the foundational architecture of our application. All audio recording, microphone processing, audio trimming, AI transcription, and file conversions occur exclusively inside your local web browser memory (RAM). We do not transmit, upload, or store your audio recordings on any remote cloud server.
01. Information We Do Not Collect
Because AUDIORECORDER.ORG operates entirely client-side:
- We do not record, store, or monitor your microphone input or audio files on any backend server.
- We do not request or require personal identifiers such as your name, email address, physical address, or phone number.
- We do not store voice biometrics or create acoustic fingerprints of your audio tracks.
- Your exported MP3, WAV, or WebM files are saved directly to your device's local storage folder.
02. Microphone & Device Access Permissions
To enable the audio recorder, your browser requests permission to access your microphone via the standard navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia() API.
- Permission is controlled entirely by your browser settings.
- You can revoke microphone permissions at any time via your browser address bar.
- Microphone streams are consumed strictly in real-time inside temporary RAM buffers and automatically destroyed when you end the session or close the tab.
03. Local Storage & Browser Cookies
AUDIORECORDER.ORG uses your browser's localStorage solely to remember lightweight user interface preferences (such as your Light/Dark theme preference or studio bitrate settings).
We do not use persistent tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies that follow your browsing activity across other websites.
04. Web Analytics & Privacy Compliance
We may use privacy-first, aggregated web performance analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Vercel Analytics) to monitor website uptime, bandwidth, and page load speed.
These analytics collect anonymized technical metrics (such as browser version, country location, and screen resolution) without IP tracking, profiling, or cookie installation, in strict accordance with European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) standards.
05. Your Rights & Contact Information
Since no user data or audio files are retained on our servers, there is no personal data to delete, modify, or export from our end—you retain 100% control over your files on your device.
If you have questions about our privacy architecture or security implementation, please contact our Data Protection team at privacy@audiorecorder.org or visit our Contact Page.
